Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Copier Technician with solid first-line IT support experience. The successful candidate will primarily focus on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of multifunctional printers (MFPs) and copiers, while also providing occasional desktop and basic IT support to clients when required.

This role is best suited to a technically competent individual with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in both copier environments and basic IT support, who is comfortable working independently in client-facing environments.

Key Responsibilities Copier & MFP Support (Primary Focus)

  • Install, configure, and commission copiers and multifunctional devices at client sites
  • Diagnose and repair hardware faults on copiers and printers
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing of equipment
  • Configure scan-to-email, scan-to-folder (SMB), and other document workflows
  • Set up user profiles, access controls, and print management features
  • Perform firmware updates and ensure optimal device performance
  • Troubleshoot device errors, print quality issues, and performance problems

Basic IT & Desktop Support (Secondary Function)

  • Provide first-line IT support to end users when required
  • Troubleshoot basic Microsoft 365 issues (Outlook, Teams, email setup)
  • Assist with desktop/laptop troubleshooting (Windows OS, printers, connectivity)
  • Support basic network connectivity issues (IP configuration, network access)
  • Assist with connecting and configuring devices on client networks

Client Service & Administration

  • Provide basic end-user training on device functionality
  • Liaise with clients to resolve technical issues efficiently and professionally
  • Maintain accurate service records, job reports, and feedback logs
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service at all times

Minimum Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ proven experience as a Copier Technician or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with copier brands such as Olivetti, Kyocera, Ricoh, Canon, or similar
  • Strong hardware troubleshooting and repair experience on copiers/MFPs
  • Basic first-line IT support experience (Microsoft 365, Windows OS, desktop support)
  • Understanding of basic networking (IP addressing, connectivity, scanning configurations)
  • Experience with scan configurations (SMTP, SMB)
  • Valid driver’s license (essential)
  • Own reliable vehicle (essential)
